NECA TMNT TURTLES IN TIME: SLASH
Today we will be taking a look at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Turtles in Time Slash. This Slash figure is based on how he appeared in the 90s video game.
The National Entertainment Collectibles Association or NECA is an American manufacturer of collectibles typically licensed from films, video-games, sports, music, and television that is based in New Jersey. The company was founded in 1996 and has over 60 licenses for which it produces products.
PACKAGING:
Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.
Slash comes in a box that looks like the old arcade game.
On the front of the box we have the Nickelodeon, Turtles, and NECA logos. Slash along with all his accessories are displayed in the middle of the box. The TURTLES IN TIME logo as well as his name are at the bottom.
Turning the box to the side we get the same side as the old video game used to have.
The back of the box has a picture of Slash as well as some of the other fixers from this wave, LEO, DON, and FOOT SOLDIER.
Turning the box around one more time we get the same side pictures from the other side.
OUTSIDE OF THE BOX:
Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.
Taking Slash out of the box we get to see all the paint and details they put on this figure. Since this is based on Slash from the video game he gets that pixel artwork done to him.

How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!
SLASH’S ARTICULATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
MUSHROOM PEGGED HEAD
This allows you to turn the head 360 degrees around
HINGED BALL JOINTED NECK
allows you to swivel the head 360-degrees and tilt the head back and forth.
BALL HINGED SHOULDERS
Gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.
SINGLE JOINTED ELBOWS
This allows you to bend the arm about 90 degrees.
SWIVEL HINGE WRISTS
It allows you to turn his wrists in a full 360-degree circle while also bending them up and down.
BALL JOINTED LEGS
With this it allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion.
DOUBLE JOINTED KNEES
The joint allows you to bend the leg itself back to the butt of the figure.
ANKLE SWIVEL:
The ankle swivel lets you turn the feet a full 360 degrees.

Slash stands about 5.5 inches tall.

PAINT JOB 5/5
As normal, NECA does a great job with the paint on figures. Slash looks amazing, the pixel paint job does make him feel like he came out from the video game.
FIGURE SCULPT 5/5
The sculpt work is on point. He looks like Slash, nothing to complain about at all.
POSING 3/5
One main issue with NECA figures is sometimes the joints are very tight and don’t want to move. This hurts it when trying to get the figure into some poses that you want sometimes.
ACCESSORIES: 4/5
Some extra hands would have made him only that much better.
DURABILITY 3/5
With the joints being very tight I sometimes feel like I will break him if I force it. Even have some hot water he was still hard to move with the right shoulder and right knee.
OVERALL SCORE 4/5
Slash is almost perfect for me. a few extra pack-ins and him not being so tight on some joints he would be perfect.
