Toying Around Reviews - McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse: Wonder Woman '84 - Wonder Woman

DC MULTIVERSE WONDER WOMAN ‘84:

Wonder Woman

Today we will be taking a look at the New DC Comics Multiverse Wonder Woman from the upcoming Wonder Woman ‘84 movie. This year the Multiverse line of figures is made by McFarlane Toys and not Mattel.

McFarlane Toys, a subsidiary of Todd McFarlane Productions, is a company founded by comics creator Todd McFarlane which makes highly detailed model figurines of characters from movies, comics, popular music, video games, and various sporting genres.

The look for Wonder Woman is based on how she looks in the movie.

PACKAGING:

Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.

On the front of the box, we have a nice big window that lets us see the figure and everything he comes with. The top of the box lets us know that the figure has 22 points of articulation. The bottom of the box has the DC Multiverse logo as well as Wonder Woman’s name.

Turning the box to the side we have the name of the figure, and where the inspiration for the figure came from.

The back of the box is a little different than most, we do not get a picture of the figure, but rather the artwork from where the inspiration came from. The same goes for the rest of the figures in the wave, we get the artwork, no figure pictures.

Turning the box around one more time we get a small window that lets us see the figure.

OUTSIDE OF THE BOX:

Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.

Taking Wonder Woman out of the box and getting a closer look, we can that the figure does look a little like Gal Gadot. We can also see the blue, red, and gold on the figure do pop on her.

Gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.

UPPER BICEP SWIVEL:

This cut lets you turn the whole arm below the cut 360-degrees.

DOUBLE JOINTED ELBOWS:

This allows you to bend the arm over 90-degrees.

SWIVEL BALL HINGE WRISTS:

It allows you to turn his wrists in a full 360-degree circle while also bending them up and down.

BALL JOINTED LEGS:

With this it allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion.

The joint allows you to bend the leg itself back to the butt of the figure.

BALL JOINTED ANKLES:

The ankle hinge allows you to bend the foot front and back and also to the left and right.

SIZE COMPARISON:

How does the size of this figure compare to others?

Wonder Woman stands right around 7.5 inches tall

Here is Wonder Woman standing next Batman and Superman, all from McFarlane Toys. The Trinity is complete.

RATING:

What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?

PAINT JOB 5/5

The paint is very well done, its bright and stands out big time just like what we have seen from the movie previews.

FIGURE SCULPT 5/5

Now I have said in the past that I 100% do not like the ball hinges that are used on McFarlane Toys, however, the way they are used on this figure they aren’t as noticeable do to the armor on her arms and legs.

POSING 5/5

I was able to get her into just about every pose I wanted to, no complaints.

ACCESSORIES: 5/5

All she comes with is her Laso, one rolled up, and one that is unrolled. not sure what else she should come with.

DURABILITY 5/5

The plastic and joints feel very tight and don’t feel like anything is going to snap.

OVERALL SCORE 5/5

If you are a fan of Wonder Woman or want/need to complete the McFarlane Trinty then pick her up.

RETAIL COST: $19.99

I picked mine up at my local TARGET.
